July 2010. As new homeowners there is always great caution taken when hiring contractors to take on small or large projects. If this is you then I urge you to consider Best Hands because you will be more than satisfied with the process, the professionalism, the crew, and the end product. Emerson is truly committed to you and your home project and wants you to have the best end product that can be developed. In addition, his crew is the hardest working group of people I have ever witnessed and made sure that excellent craftsmanship was at the core of everything they did. Finally, our project involved building and rebuilding retaining walls, a backyard patio, a long driveway with pavers and the foundation along the side of our home. Though the project was huge, they were in and out in two weeks and though we had to add a portion to our project Emerson was honest and more than fair in our additional expense. I would recommend BestHands to everyone.

I had a patio installed in my back yard. The job went really well. Emerson, the owner, is very professional and manages his jobs well. Prior to my choosing Besthands, Emerson and I negotiated several items regarding the patio installation, and I was pleased to find that he kept his word on everything that we had negotiated. His crew was also professional and polite. They worked hard and did a very nice job. The job was completed as and when promised. In addition, Emerson had his crew do a few extras at no cost to me. I would definitely hire Emerson / Besthands again.

Emerson and his crew recently rebuilt some retaining walls on my property as well as installing a new paver driveway and walkways. I was impressed by not only the skill and energy displayed by Emerson and his crew, but also by the level of detail and care given each phase of the project. The preperation of the driveway before the stones were delivered was exceptional. This was right in the middle of the very heavy rains and flooding that occurred here in RI - and I had absolutely no standing water on the driveway. My wife and I are VERY pleased with final products. Thank you, Emerson!

Emerson and his crew did a spectacular job building our patio and front walk. His crew was fast and curteous - they showed up on time - and cleaned up the site every day before leaving. Emerson added a few surprise details that made the end result especially beautiful without adding to the price! Emerson and his crew were fantastic to deal with. During the project we decided to add additional items such as walls, and walkways to the project, and Emerson was very reasonable and fair with his prices. In my experience in public contracting, most contractors give you a low price and make their money on extras, but not Emerson. We were very happy with the quality of the work, the schedule, and price. Emerson was also available after the project was over to answer questions about fertilization, and when there was a problem with an irrigation valve, Emerson immediately came and replaced the valve with no questions.

My first statement is that Emerson and his staff are the most honerable and talented contractors that we have ever dealt with.. Emerson designed three field stone walls, two Belguard paver walkways and the landscape of our front yard. All of his work was nothing but perfect. Emerson was onsite with his staff each day making sure the job was on track and everything was clean at the end of the day.They went out of their way to accomodate my wife and I in every way. Our house looks great and it's all because of Emerson and his crew. I never refer people to anyone but will refer Emerson every day and twice on Sundays! He is already doing work for a number of our friends.

let me start by saying that i've never been so absolutely satisfied with any contractor i've ever hired as i am with BestHands/Emmerson. Best Hands undertook a very extensive job at my home. this included a very large raised patio totally enclosed with a sitting wall. it included an outside stone bar area and three sets of stairs. to the front of the house they installed two sets of stairs and approximately 10,000 sq ft of driveway including a retaining wall and several circle packs. all cuts in the stone are exquisite. the work ethic of this company is the best i've ever seen....arrive early, leave late, short breaks, and everyone polite and cheerful. my wife and i actually missed them all when the job was completed. i recommend this team without any hesitation and without any qualification. they really are the "BEST" !!!

Not only was the price for our walkway more than fair, the work was done quickly, on the days promised and more beautifully than we had imagined. When we developed a problem with one of the sprinkler lines, Emerson promptly sent a crew to fix it. Everyone who has seen the walk has commented on how it adds so much to the look of the house.
